for Pastor Larry Whitehead's last sermon at First Church of Mishawaka!

Worship Service at 10:30am

A Celebration dinner will immediately follow the service

(Please note there is only 1 worship service on June 9)

 

It will be with sadness, but also with joy, that we approach the time when Pastor Larry and Susan Whitehead will be leaving us. They have been here eight years and they and their girls have been a vital part of our congregation. Pastor Larry has been appointed to be the District Superintendent of the North District of the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church.

 

Please join us for a special service and celebration dinner on Sunday, June 9, at 10:30am. (Please note: There will be only one service that day at 10:30am). A celebration dinner will immediately follow the 10:30am service in Fellowship Hall.  The SPR Committee will provide meat, drinks, dessert, and table service; please bring a dish to share.

Thank you for helping to honor this loving Pastor and family who will be missed by all of us as they move along their path with Christ.

 

It has become a tradition in our church to give the departing pastor & family something a little more tangible than our love and best wishes; in this case Pastor Larry and family will be moving into their own home. We want to give them a loving send off.

 

We would like to be able to dig a well in their name through “Clean Water in Africa,” as they have been very active in promoting clean water. They have also been active in church camps – so perhaps a “scholarship” in their name.
